About Me

Maura Cotter is a wife, mother, and graduate student studying Physiological Sciences at the University of Arizona. She lives in Tucson with her wonderful husband Matt and sweet baby boy Miles.

Maura has a lot of interests for which she never finds the time. Some of her lifelong goals include trying not to fail at science, helping Matt on his quests to end child hunger and start his own charter school, writing and illustrating her own children's book, learning to play a real musical instrument rather than just burping the ABC's, and adopting one or more children.

The purpose of this blog is mostly to keep an anecdotal diary of memorable life events complete with photos, funny stories, quotes, or whatever seems interesting to share with family, friends, and that one fellow reader who actually finds these ramblings to be somewhat amusing or at least not totally boring. As a PhD-striving mama navigating the worlds of science and family, this blog is also a place for cathartic writing about the daily struggles of being a mom and finding a good work/life balance.
